Research objective
The project aims to develop an economically justified feeding technology for laying hens using prebiotic xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS) produced from grain-processing residues through an innovative process.
The research will assess effects on laying-hen productivity, egg quality and greenhouse-gas emission reduction.
Value from remaining material
The project also aims to create substrates from residues remaining after prebiotic production and investigate their use in protected cultivation. This connects feed-ingredient development with further use of agricultural resources.
